<p>We have only just started promoting ourselves and our business on this platform we have already generated business from this medium.</p>
<p>It seems my good lady has taken onboard the information I gave her on how to promote herself on LinkedIn and as a result Justine has risen to one of the top 5% of viewed profiles, beating myself even at top 10% of most viewed, game on&#8230;</p>

<p>Active referral marketing on social media is about to become a functional reality and will no longer be limited to the 3% of the market who may be looking for your product or service at the time it is &#8220;Liked&#8221; but rather opened up to the whole of your target market when they are ready to purchase.</p>
<p>What do we mean by this you ask?</p>
<p>Well, typically speaking 3% of your target market in any given business endeavour are ready to purchase your product or service right now.</p>
<p>However, some of your market, your prospect or suspects are just getting ready to purchase and will require 5, 6 or even 10 contacts from you and your business before they will become clients and yet so many businesses still take a one hit approach to selling, almost all salespeople will give up after just one or two attempts (if you can even call it an attempt!)</p>

<h2>Focus On The Wrong Thing &amp; You Miss The Lesson</h2>
<p>I total agree that they shouldn&#8217;t be entitled to a bonus if they have not produced the result, however, in all the complaining about what they get paid a majority of the population sadly miss the lessons that could see them earning a whole lot more than they currently do.</p>
<p>You see top executives are typically charged with ensuring that the highest priority objectives are followed through on, executed well and achieved, ultimately for business this means generating a good solid return on capital invested.</p>
<p>In order to achieve at this level you must become exceptionally good at making quick decisions based on quality facts and figures while drowning out all of the white noise and miss-information.</p>
<p>The unfortunate reality is the average person spends a majority of their time tuning into this noise through TV, Radio, Press and even the internet and wonders why they are not living the life want. It all comes down to what we focus our time and energy on.</p>
<h3>How Much Could You Achieve In Your Spare, Focused Time?</h3>

<p>Ask yourself the question, how much more could you really achieve in a week, if you honestly focused on it and chose to ignore and switch off the distractions?</p>
<p>If you truly want to be successful in life and business this exercise is more than powerful, you will even surprise yourself with what you can achieve in 12 months with this level of focus and utilising the extra hours available to you in a day.</p>
<p>I know first hand because my wife and I both have given up TV over the last 12 months to further our businesses and careers, the compounding effect of this has been huge this past 15 months.</p>
<p>Becoming more productive and focused, in my opinion, is one of the best skills anyone can learn in this modern age that is so full of distractions.</p>

<p>This is great news for good businesses who are client focused and take care of their customers, for us as consumers it is becoming easier than ever to find businesses who will do the right thing by us.</p>
<p>Social Media is also helping fight the good fight and because word of mouth can now travel at the speed of light bad businesses will see themselves on the sidelines faster than ever before while great business will prosper in ways they would only have dreamed of in the past, especially if they use the tools available to them in the right way.</p>
<p>Product Review have a new widget which allows businesses to show their product or service reviews right on their own website &#8211; of course only good businesses will be brave enough to use it, more power to them I say.</p>
<p>We ourselves will now be asking for client reviews and our best clients have already begun actively seeking reviews from their customers asking them to post them on Product Review, Google + Local, Yelp and Facebook, it all adds up.</p>
<p>It is interesting to note that if you ask Siri, on the iPhone 4S, for a cafe, restaurant or any other business for that matter, she will only give you one answer, that is the best answer based on her calculation which is rumoured to take into account client reviews, while Google itself is said to be moving towards a social rank which potentially looks at what is being said about a business &#8220;good&#8221; or &#8220;bad&#8221; as well as Google + Reviews.</p>
<p>Next time you are looking to purchase something take into account the reviews that have real photos beside them, odds are you will have a better experience with businesses with good reviews.</p>
